Step Two:  Using the codes above, determine Primary and Secondary Motivations for yourself and the people you work with.
Step Three:  Analysis;
  • Compare your codes to your co-workers;
  • Where you see similarities (between your codes & your co-workers), there is probably conflict among you at some level; (Many times we share similar traits with those we most despise on the job.)
  • Think about specific situations in the past.  Now that you have identified the Motivations, can you now understand their behavior and yours?
  • Think of possible scenarios in the future for yourself, and/or your co-workers, (a promotion, a new boss, a tough project, a company downturn, a company upturn, a new employee, a personal crisis); Knowing what you know now about your Motivations and those of your co-workers, what can you predict about behaviors?
  • Find a Scripture on Forgiveness.  Use this to forgive yourself, or your co-worker for Motivations you find inappropriate at work.
  • Find a Scripture on Judgment.  Use this to not be so quick to judge other people.
  • Strive to make Code G (Pleasing God) your Primary Motivation at work.
