Chapter Nine: The Battle is Spiritual
Excerpt:
The Armor of God.
In Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, there is a description of how a Christian prepares for spiritual warfare. Let’s look at how we can use this Scripture in the battles we face in the workplace.
Ephesians 6
Verse 10: “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.”
Start by acknowledging your limitations, and God’s strength. You have seen examples from the previous Chapter of the possibility of alternate scenarios. You have to make sure you are fighting the right battle.
Take a moment to consider your battle plan. Write it out, if you have to. Ask the Lord to reveal the following to you regarding the situation: “Who are my enemies? Who are my friends? What are my strengths? What are my weaknesses?” Know that God has the power to correct all wrongs, and He is on your side. Whatever happens, you will come out the better for it, if you trust Him!
“BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO PERSEVERES UNDER TRIAL, BECAUSE WHEN HE HAS STOOD THE TEST, HE WILL RECEIVE THE CROWN OF LIFE THAT GOD HAS PROMISED TO THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.”
JAMES 1:12
Verse 11: “Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.”
